The tender ride is quick and offers beautiful views of the surrounding islands and your cruise ship anchored in the bay. Once ashore, everything is within easy walking distance, making it a simple and relaxing port to explore at your own pace.

Mystery Island is one of the easiest cruise ports to explore independently. Most visitors simply enjoy the beaches, local markets, and walking trails without needing to book an organised excursion.

If you’re looking for a more structured experience, your cruise line may offer optional tours or water-based activities. However, many cruisers find that simply enjoying the island at their own pace is the highlight of the day.

Mystery Island quickly became one of our favourite South Pacific cruise destinations. From the moment we stepped off the tender, we were greeted by stunning turquoise water, friendly locals, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to switch into holiday mode.

We loved wandering through the market stalls, taking in the beautiful scenery, and spending time enjoying one of the most picturesque beaches we’ve visited on a cruise.
